Enjoy a Free FROSTival War of 1812 GeoCache Bash on Saturday, February 1 from 10 am to 2 pm.
Learn all about the War of 1812 and the sport of GeoCaching from geocacher Randall Haslett. This FROSTival event also features free tours of the museum by costumed guides and fun family activities, from how to load a 19th century cannon to a day in the life of a War of 1812 soldier – hint: it was nasty, brutish and short!
Soldiers from our very own Royal New Brunswick Regiment will be on hand from 10am to 2pm to explain our outdoor displays. And in honour of the Newfoundland dog who accompanied the 104th Regiment of Foot on its epic winter march to Kingston in 1813, Devon Nutbeam of Homeport Newfoundland breeders will be on site with her purebred Newfoundland dogs.
