Shivering Songs

Embrace the chill and warm your soul with Fredericton’s premier midwinter music festival Thursday, January 22 to Sunday, January 25. Shivering Songs brings a celebration of songwriting and storytelling to Fredericton, hosting internationally renowned artists in historic and intimate spaces throughout the Downtown. Tickets and passes are available online now! 

Dine Around Freddy 

Just in time for FROSTival, Fredericton’s winter culinary celebration is back! Dine Around Freddy offers extraordinary deals at some of the Fredericton Capital Region’s finest restaurants, featuring unique and unforgettable, Maritime flavours. Snowy Activities 

Did you know Crabbe Mountain has the largest vertical decent in New Brunswick? Crabbe is featuring special deals for beginners and seasoned skiers/snowboarders alike during FROSTival. Cash in on great deals and enjoy half price night on the slopes. Join the fun as you watch head-to-head snowmobile racing under the lights with Torque Motorsports King of the Mountain on Saturday, January 24! 

Check out Mactaquac Provincial Park! The park offers sledding, outdoor skating, cross-country skiing, fat biking, and more! Need some equipment? You can reserve your rentals by calling ahead. Make sure to visit the park on Saturday, January 30 for their 2026 Winter Forest Escape – the official kick off to their Forest Skate! 

Looking for other frosty adventures in the Fredericton Capital Region? Take in the wonder of winter at Officers’ Square every weekend during FROSTival, with free skating parties for the whole family in the afternoon or a groovin’ DJ skate under the stars at night. Enjoy free ski and snowshoe rentals in the Rural Community of Hanwell, get outside and enjoy an evening of Stars & S'mores with Backtrails by Radical Edge at Killarney Lake, indulge in a sweet snowy maple treat before cozying up inside Dumfries Maples for a delicious breakfast or enjoy a magical sleigh ride with Sandwith’s.  

Arts & Culture during FROSTival

FROSTival inspires creativity across the Fredericton Capital Region! Local artists, galleries and studios are opening their spaces and inviting you to learn, create, and have fun this winter. Gather your friends together for an evening of gallery hopping in Downtown Fredericton on Friday, February 7, marvel in the Jewellery & Metal Art NBCCD Studio Show at the George Fry Gallery, take a class at Honey Bee Folk School and more! Be inspired by local talent at one of the many on-stage productions taking place in Fredericton or take in unique exhibits featured at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery
